About Matthew

(who is me... this talking about yourself in the third person is awkward)

Matthew Waterson was born in America and grew up in Britain. As a result he talks funny. He currently appears in X-Men '97 as Magneto. He most recent show before X-Men was Dreamworks The Croods: Family Tree as Phil having taken over the role from Peter Dinklage. He has also been seen in Guillermo Del Toro’s “Trollhunters” as the troll warrior Draal. Fortunately he looks good in blue (or green depending on the light). He has also worked on the Marvel film “Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell” as the villain Nightmare, Gen: Lock, A Tale Dark and Grimm, Castlevania and Dota:Dragons Blood and miniseries "Halo: The Fall of reach” as Captain Wallaci. He can soon be seen in Batman:The Doom that Came to Gotham.

In video games he has appeared in Doom Eternal as the Doom Slayer, "Call of Duty Black Ops 4" as Torque"Halo Wars 2" as Douglas-042, “Conan Exiles” as Conan the Barbarian, "Final Fantasy XV", Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us Part II "Fallout 4" as Virgil, and "Star Wars Uprising".

He has also worked on stage in New York, across the US and in Europe. However, on stage he never got to be a Troll badass, the DoomSmith or Cimmerian barbarian. So it hardly counts.

He has one American parent, one British parent and spends every 4th of July committing acts of sedition against himself. Then he eats pie.
